The Zorita’s hermitage is located close to Melgar, in a privileged place. Every eight of September, the festivity of Virgin de Zorita, patron saint of this municipality, takes place in the hermitage with a lively procession.

The church has two rectangular naves. The northern one and the apse provide evidence of the Romanesque origin. Built at the end of the twelfth century, the apse is divided in three parts by pillars and has two Romanesque windows.

Outside, the windows and capitals of the columns are decorated with vegetal motifs and geometric elements. Inside, the capitals of the triumphal arch are decorated with animals and a group of people in an attitude of praying.

The porch is a neo-Romanesque work done by a local artist in the middle of the twentieth century.
