Descripción

In the small village of Hinestrosa, two kilometers away from Castrojeriz, a modified tower of the fifteenth century is still standing. It belonged to the Marquis of Escalona, of the Gallo family. They were native of Galicia and formed several primogenitures in these lands.

Nowadays, it is used as a barn and dovecot. Made of masonry and with a square shape of 8x8 m., the tower has been left with few windows and the original entrance, situated in the first floor. In the beginning, it had roof with pinnacles but now it has a sloping roof which hide the brilliant past that it had in previous centuries.
