Descripción

The strategic importance of Peña Amaya is due to its location and morphology. That’s why, this mystic mountain has had different human settlements through the centuries. Remains of different ages have been found in these mountains.

In Peña Amaya, an ancient village existed in the Iron Age. A trench to enter the village, carved on the stone, is a vestige that still remains in the place. Besides, parts of the walls of a castle and a medieval village, situated in a plain after the trench, can be seen as well.
